Frank, this is an A+ work on both counts -- originality and execution! WOW!
I am intrigued by the effect you created and am putting you on the spot. What did you use? Brushes, textures, LUTs?

Here is the breakdown. No Brushes or LUTs and a few textures.
The background is the original image blurred
I had an old book template, add a color, leather texture and an old book cover texture
Cutout Ingrid, (Yes I named the troll), liquified to give her back her Trollish figure, changed the color of her dress
Added text (Olde English)
Finished in Topaz Texture Effects 2, a custom preset based on Gritty Grunge>Black Hole with an added light ray.
Final Layer stack - 3 layers, 2 folders filled with layers.

- Created the composite with a photo I took at Custer State Park, SD.
- Applied Topaz Texture Effects.
- Applied a texture by Photoshop Artistry.
- Created the border effect with Frank’s tutorial (CE Challenge #72 - Custom Borders).
