Digital Scrapper has many free tutorials and some paid classes and they have a complete system to purchase.
Scrapgirls is another good website.
Both have free newsletters and both have scrapbook kits for purchase at reasonable prices. Realize, when you purchase a scrapbook kit, the pieces are reusable and can be re colored, so when you begin, you will not have to make a large investment.
There will sometimes be freebies offered in the newsletters.
Do not be afraid to sign up for the newsletters or to purchase at these sites, they do not sell or distribute your personal information.
And don't forget this website as a source. There are scrappers here who are ready to share their love of scrapping and help you get started. I, for one, would love to help you get on your way. Just ask.

Another excellent place to learn is Jessica Sprague. I've taken virtually every class she has ever offered, both paid and free and she is an excellent teacher. Bayla

A couple of gals from the golden days of digital scrapbooking have started a new site.
justartscrapbooking.com
It's a no rules site where you can use any kit you want to work on their challenges.

Hi cats4jan Thank you for the info on the 'justart' site. I've been and had a look and it looks interesting indeed. I'm impressed by the fact that they allow you to use any kit to work on their challenges or do your pages. Do you know if you are allowed to use another software program to make your pages with or must it be PSE. I would ask them myself via the contact us page but my email is playing up just now… EDIT: Had a good look around the site now and found that you can use software other than PSE. Appears to be a very friendly place just like this forum...

I don't think any Scrapbooking site restricts which software you use. The only downside to using something other than some form of Photoshop is when you have software questions or when you want to do the tutorials. That's when it becomes an issue only because most scrapbookers use Photoshop.

Hey all! I found this sit from the old Elements Village and was surprised it had closed. I saw this thread and thought I'd let you know I'm still around, although I do not have a forum, we are still active on the blog, Flickr, and Facebook, etc. I have over 700 FREE tutorials for digital scrapbooking, and thousands of challenges, and I'm always around to help.
