TFS, Tom. Some were unknown to me, some were disturbing but all of them were well chosen by the author who had limited herself to include just twenty photographers. I especially liked the toning of the Cotton Mill Girl and the visual story told by The Steerage.

Important photographs, in my opinion, should not be messed about. There are some very disturbing scenes in that top 20. But one, is not as it seems. The vulture and a child.
Quote.
For the record, the mother was apparently right next to the scene and the child was never in danger of being attacked by the bird. Notice that it was also shot with a longer telephoto lens which makes a scene look more compressed, making the bird appear closer to the child than reality.
