For some reason, I'm unable to open the image posted by Blackmutt. On clicking on the image, I am taken to the postimage page as if I want to post an image. Here is a link to the thread and it is the image in Blackmutt's opening post - photoshopelementsandmore.com/thread/473/painted-edges?page=1&scrollTo=3740Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone have any explanation? It seems others have been able to view this image Just as a side issue, still related to opening images, I couldn't open a posted image which was in Flickr but that was to do with login issues I have with Yahoo! I thought I'd mention that in case anyone else has similar issues with Flickr. Many thanks

Julie,
I can't either. And just for good measure I tried it in three different browsers in case it was a browser issue! (Firefox, Chrome & IE)
Am assuming it's something Blackmutt has (or hasn't) done.

Hi Bayla Many thanks for checking this out. In a way, it's a relief to know it's not just me I use Firefox. It didn't occur to me to try IE and I don't have Chrome Again, thanks Julie

I couldn't open it either. I think Flickr has been a little wonky lately. Sometimes it helps to close down and open the page again.

Thanks for the heads up on this! It appears there is an error in the line referencing the image; it is not a problem with Flickr. I will investigate and hopefully be able to correct it sometime today.
Thanks again!

I believe this is not an issue concerning browsers or Flick or Yahoo or our forum for that matter. It has to do with the way blackmutt did the uploading -- the thumbnail is not leading to the large image.

I looked at it and it appears to be the way the image was posted, as the link doesn't seem correct. I don't know what happened, but I don't think it is a forum issue.

Hi, I haven't been able to confirm that Bayla. I have a very small image that I posted, using the 17 inch monitor setting, and it still did not result in the error behavior seen before. The only time I have been able to recreate it is when I use the avatar or thumbnail resize settings. Perhaps if you shared the image you used I could replicate what you are experiencing.

I resized my original image in PSE to a ridiculously small size - 125px x 36px, 15.7kb and uploaded that using postimage.org leaving the size box as 'Do not resize my image' and that resulted in the thumbnail not opening up properly when clicked on. I suppose that resizing like that is the equivalent of selecting avatar in the resize option box.

I was able to reproduce your finding, but I didn't try to fully characterize the situation that provokes it. Hopefully the author of the plugin will release a fixed version soon.

Hi Sepiana. I believe you are spot on. You probably did the same thing as I did and looked at the code using your browser's developer tools.
This is a screen shot of the code for blackmutt's post text and thumbnail image.
The href attribute in the <a> tag should point to the enlargement when his/her thumbnail is clicked. It clearly doesn't.
The src attribute in the <img> tag points to the thumbnail which I can see ok in my IE11 and FF37 browsers ok.
I don't think the cause of the incorrect href value is due the size of the thumbnail or image as some of the others suspect. The only way you can tell for sure is to look at the code in your browser after you upload your "tiny" test image.
My best guess is that either some 1'and 0's went astray in cyberspace when blackmutt uploaded the original image or someone or something edited the path to the uploaded image after it was originally uploaded.
When I uploaded the above screen shot into this post, I can see the url (path to both the thumbnail and enlargement) before I click the "Create Post" button. I can edit the url's to whatever I like if I wanted to before clicking "Create Post".

In addition to my last post this is a screen shot of the code for the screenshot in my last post.
You can see the value of the href attribute is the complete path to the enlargement whereas you can see in the screenshot of blackmutt's code the href attribute value is incomplete as I showed in my last post.
Hopefully this will help you find the root cause of the issue
