Here are two FREE standalone apps (courtesy of Mediachance). Nothing fancy, very basic but fun to play with and . . . the price is right.

I saw this as an app being advertised by Mediachance in an email I received a few days ago. Being that the the cost was right, I downloaded Orbis Luminen as it looked like an app for selective directional lighting. My experience from using it was that it simply brightened the entire image. I tried it on several images and came up with the same result each time. I wonder if anyone who has tried it has had better results?

I got Orbis Luminum just a couple of days ago; I haven't played with it too much. However, when I first tried it, I noticed it was brightening the whole image. In my case, I was releasing the mouse too early. Also, I was not pushing the spot far enough towards the edge of the orb. I practiced a bit more earlier today and I got better control. I have to admit though; it is tricky.
