I don't want to bomb the forum with my photographs, so be sure to tell me if I get boring. This was taken with my mobile phone when on a Winter afternoon walk in our local park. Probably processed on PS CC and Nik. For some reason, the thumbnail image is very soft compared to the larger version. Can someone tell me what size I should use for uploads? Ta! Heading Home

Very nice image, soft and easy on the eyes.
Looks like a very quiet park. I hope you weren't stalking the person walking infront in the photo
ps........as you noticed in my Cruising Lake Taihu thread, I have the same issue with imgbb thumbnails. I am finding that around 1000px wide there is less softness in the thumbnails. All the enlargements are sharp though.

Felix ......no problem sharing your work but you might want to start your own gallery. You can find directions in this thread plus information about how our IOW will be chosen for next week. It's fun....hope you'll join in. The fog adds to the feeling of aloneness in your picture and it is really nicely composed. Beautiful!

I am afraid this is the nature of the thumbnails generated by imgbb. However, you don't necessarily need to resize your image. If you prefer to upload larger images, just add a note, something like "Click on image for larger size". That's what many of us do. Also, members who have been with us since the beginning know the drill; they won't need a prompt.
There are also other alternatives; you can upload your image via other hosting sites. You can find more information about this in FAQs.

If you prefer to upload larger images, just add a note, something like "Click on image for larger size". Hi again Felix, This forum supports BBCODE. If you are familiar with it and HTML/CSS you can customise the styling in your posts. In Sepiana's example you can also add a title="Click Image to view enlargement" attribute to the anchor tag so that when users hover over your image the title will appear as a popup help hint on supported devices (mainly desktop computers). I give some examples of what can be done in my Custom Stylising Your Posts thread.

That is a such a stark, moody and atmospheric image - I love it!

Thanks, everyone - comments very much appreciated.
To be honest, the figure in the photo is Mrs Felix - she'd got very fed up with me 'messing about' with my phone and just walked ahead. Serendipity at work!
Thanks also for the upload / gallery info - I'm on the case!
