Had a hard time deciding which three I would like to comment on but finally decided on these three:

Ruffled Feathers by srmoment.
I like the way the flamingo seems to be emerging from the sea of feathers. I admire Pat's creative vision for her flamingo image.

Dreaming of the High Line by PeteB.
Black and white seems the perfect choice for this image as it accentuates the shapes and shadows. I like the way that Pete included the people walking across the bridge and the wonderful clouds in the background.

Stained Glass Portrait by fotofrank
Art isn't always pretty. I actually find this portrait by Frank quite disturbing. However, it is the one picture that keeps me studying it and leaves me with a haunted feeling. So in the end it is those very things that I found disturbing that makes me have to include it in my top three.

okey dokey, I'll go next.
I agree that it was hard to narrow my choices to three, but here goes:

For mon cherie by Sydney - love the dramatic orange, red and yellows against the black, and the text adds just the right amount of whimsey.

Dreaming of the High Line by PeteB. This is an intriguing black/white image with great composition, tones, and the people walking on the bridge draw the eye.

Stained glass portrait by Fotofrank: This looks like a mask, but not a mask. There is a really interesting optical illusion of various levels here and my eyes have gone "buggy" trying to follow all the lines.

Dreaming of the High Line by Pete B.

I’m not really a lover of black and white photos in general but I do like this one. The contrast is so good in the photo giving it good clean lines and I love the dramatic sky.

Mon Cherie by Sydney

I love the vibrance of the colours in the flowers which shows up so well against the dark background. Also the added text gives it an artsy flavour for me.

The Porch by HMCA
I love the treatment of this photo which seems to draw me in to wondering what’s inside the house and who is it who lives there.

My picks in the order they appear are:

The Porch by HMCA
The folksy welcoming porch has a Norman Rockwell feel to it. I feel the choice of texturing really adds to this effect as well. For me it evokes pleasant images of the occupants relaxing outside on a warm summer day with a cold glass of lemonade.

What can I say about this image except great capture and terrific artistic processing!

Furrows, Mountain and Clouds by dandc
I chose this one for the emotions it invokes within me. It stirs fond memories for me of a trip I recently made to the pacific northwest marvelling at the amazing scenery while travelling on a train. Love the sense of serenity in this image.

I would like to highlight 3 photos and in alphabetical order of the creator.

"The Porch by hmca"

I like the feeling of nostalgia this image emits. I don't know if a texture was applied or not, but whatever it is, it helps the image also send out a warm, relaxing invitation to come inside.

"Dreaming of the High Line by PeteB"

This is a really well created black and white image. The full tonal range displays the wide range of tones in the actual scene and creates amazing depth in the image from the water in the foreground to the distant clouds in the background.

"Ruffled Feathers by srmoment"

This is the type of artwork I wish I could create, but unfortunately the side of my brain that controls creativity/design is by far the less dominant side. The photo of the swan itself is amazing and the colours and art design all complement each other really well.

I just love the colors in this image – the processing does this scene such justice and the white edging is perfect. I want to step up and take a seat because it all sets such a peaceful mood.

The contrast in this shot just draws me in and directs my attention to those strolling along and to those spectacular clouds. A beautiful B&W.

For Mon Cherie by Sydney
Even though I couldn’t read the words in this composite, I realized that I really didn’t care because the overall composition in this shot is so attractive my mind just makes the sentiment up. Plus we get to enjoy such wonderful colors while daydreaming.

I like the processing, perhaps it is a sketch effect. Composition wise, I like that the young boy is framed by the brick archway and he stands out and grabs my attention . Then, because Kathylee has provided some background information, I became curious about this young photographer and wondering what is he photographing.

I find this image surreal. I keep looking at it and questioning it. What is the photographer trying to say? Am I missing something? What about all those crazy lines. If you look at the eyes, it appears the person is wearing a mask. Strange image, but it did keep me looking.

I love the texture of the neck and the detail of the eye, but this is then raised to another level by the surrounding. How srmoment has managed to blend in those matching swirling feathers I will never know but I am so glad they did because it results in one beautiful image that I want to go back to again and again. I really hope it is printed out and up somewhere in pride of place because it is magnificent and deserves to be admired.

i love this because what makes it for me is an imperfection that I would normally do everything I could to avoid. Without the lens flare it would be a perfectly nice well constructed landscape with the furrows leading your eye to the horizon beyond and with nice subtle colouring. But then the flare adds a vibrancy and interest and evokes the atmosphere of being there.

The River Bend by Sydney
The colours in this image grab me and the scene intrigues me in equal measure. The sharpness of the pontoon and the vibrant green of the bush and blue of the bucket and boat pull and hold my attention, and I love how the reflection then softens and complements. But whose is that stuff and why have they just left it?
