This week I am trying something a bit different. The starter image is a PNG file; when you load the file you should see the background as transparent (white and gray checkerboard). This means that you will need to provide the background for this derelict wooden boat. I am hoping this will open the floodgates to some fantastic possibilities! (Click to go to the full-size image)

Great starter image, Craig. Lots of possibilities!
- Recycled the starter image for EP #154. - Created the background with three photos I took while hiking at Yellowstone NP.

Thanks for this challenge Tom. Loved getting my teeth into this. Click to see larger image. I’ve made a composite using Images from Pixabay and Morguefile Lightning image from pngimg Cloud brush by devirose81 of DeviantArt.

That's terrific, Lillias! Really nice job with the waves against the boat.

Couldn't make up my mind which one I liked better, so here are two versions of the same thing. Please click to enlarge

They are both nice in their own way Rita but my preference would be for the top one as I love the shades of green in it and the more pronounced colours on the boat.

These are a great start to this challenge! I especially like what you did Lillias, a great composition.
Rita, I personally like the second one for its ethereal atmosphere.
What's next?!

Rita, both are superb, but I prefer the second one a bit more.

Adding a png for the challenge was a great idea, Tom! Background was taken by me in Port Clyde Maine. Since we're weighing in on Rita's edits, I agree with everyone about liking them both and can see why you had a hard time choosing. That being said my preference would be for the first.....a scene that if I stumbled upon would have me grabbing for my camera. Like the natural color.
