Baby Purple Martin's...It took about 25 trys before I caught this pose. They are close to 4 weeks old and probably will leave the nest before the weekend is over. I have nest evacuations nearly everyday now with a couple of new ones starting to lay eggs but they will probably never go all the way to fledging. dick  |

I had newly fledged babies all over the place this morning. I don't know if any of these took to the air or not. Sometimes they come back to roost for a couple of days then they just disappear. Some disappear immediately never to return.
