Hilo, Harvey and Kona...Labradoodles all. We went boating and our DIL asked if I'd take photos of the dogs.  |

They are beautiful. Just wish I could get my lot to pose together. No chance. The colours of your photo are great, Clive. And it is so clear, too.
Do you trim them? Professionally speaking, they would be cooler with a short back and sides. (English slang for haircut.)

The sun was bright, but the harsh shadows limited on the dogs because our son's boat has white/light flooring that reflected the light back well. We did 3 or 4 sets and the camera was set at 10 fps so a few had to be decent...and several were good. Son and DIL amused the dogs with noisy chip/crisps bags. Kona (right) is now 10 years and been on boats all his life (well just in summers) and prances about the boat gunnels and bow like a captain.
Our DIL breeds 'doodles with a partner....technically they are "mutts" as they are a mixed breed. Great Labrador temperament and they do not shed one bit....bonus points for that feature.
They are quite long-hair if left untrimmed...they look way better with long hair, but it is too hot for them in summer. Harvey is just (what?) 4 months old and has not be trimmed yet.

Labradoodles were first bred - deliberately - in Australia, to be guide dogs for the blind. Poodles have wool rather than fur. So the mixed breed was ideal for people with allergies.
Considering mixed breed dogs are just that, they are now being called designer dogs, and some get sold for ridiculous prices.
They are not pedigree, so cannot be registered with Kennel Clubs.
Yet people are paying up to over £2,000 for them.
Clive. If I tried that with crisps, my lot would be by my side in a flash.
