After watching Jai Johnson's video on blending in fur, I thought I'd have another go, I haven't quite gone to the lengths that she does with blending in the edges, this little guy seems to have a lot of furry bits that stick out so I tried my best to leave some of them still visible. What do you think, should I soften the edges more?

I saw your other post, Jacki and I thought Sydney had a good suggestion. I watched the video he shared as well. I always like to see how people blend those edges when adding textures. I think you have down a wonderful job with your Meerkat. The fur looks very natural against the beautiful bokeh of the background....and I'm quite impressed with how you were able to keep all those fur bits and still add the background. Well done!

Thanks Helen, his furriness was quite challenging, and I didn't cut him out first like Jai does, just used a layer mask to let the bokeh background come through, the colours helped a lot and changing the blend mode made it even better as the bokeh background was originally hot pink. There is also a texture layer over the top, that can sometimes help to hide a few unwanted areas.
