HI, My wife and I are thinking about some remodeling to our kitchen and bathroom. I'd like to overlay a photo of the kitchen with different colors for the cabinets and countertops. So far my results have been amateurish at best with non straight lines and overlays that block out the details of the cabinets and drawers. I'm using the magic wand to select areas but it isn't working very well. I've included a photo. I want to turn the wooden cabinets white and make the blue countertop nand wooden edge a midtone gray. At the moment I'm using PSE 12 and switching to PSE 18 in a few weeks. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, none of those methods works for this case.

Craig, I have been testing those methods since I posted them; I came to the same conclusion. Now I am playing with . . . making a selection, H/S adjustment layer, adjusting sliders, different blending modes. I am still not happy with the results. Do you have any ideas?

I thought I could make something work with modes, but didn't have any luck.

Tried that, but she uses Photoshop's curves clipped to a layer, which it doesn't seem like you can do in Elements+. So the best I could wind up with was a sickly gray.
