Fauxtoto: I like. Not sure that the boat adds or detracts. It's quite small. I just like the minimalist nature of this photo with the lovely natural color gradients. Nice. Your "rule of fifths" is great. Seriously, this would "hang" well on a wall. Clive

Very nice photo fauxtoto
I really like the blueish tones throughout (as they appear on my screen), very easy on the eyes. I'm not sure if the colours are entirely natural or edited, but that is beside the point. In my part of the world storm clouds tend to be dark shades of grey.
If you haven't already done so, perhaps try removing the boat and see how the image then works. For me, it is a little distracting and tends to pull and focus my eyes to the bottom left corner which I wouldn't think would be the desired effect, but maybe it is?
I agree with Clive. It would look great on a wall with a thin dark blue frame to put focus on the image and not the frame, but that is just me .
But if you are considering printing, especially a large size print, I would suggest, if you haven't already done so, view the image at 100% because even your enlargement looks a little grainy (on my screen) along and near the horizon in most parts. A little blurring should remove the graininess and smooth out the colour gradients. I'm pretty sure the graininess would be visible on a large print.
Anyway, just some food for thought

Clive, Bailey,
Thank you for your good words, and your input. I am glad you liked, and flattered.
I was hesitant about the boat. Also, trying to render the harshness of the weather, I did push clarity and sharpening quite a bit, probably too much. I have 3 or 4 pictures of the scene I might be able to use. I will try different approaches. Your comments will be useful.
Decisions, decisions : it never stops!
