Nothing to do with Elements.
In my house and garden, I buy things which I really like, and couldn't care less whether they match other things or not.
A couple of years ago, I had a feature paper put on the walls of the chimney breast in my living room - or lounge - depending how posh you are. Now, I have decided to have the other walls painted, and for once in my life, would like a colour which compliments the paper.
I love wood, so most things in the room are pine or mahogany colours. Except the settee, which is a beige shade.
Would anybody like to offer some suggestions, please as to what colour would look well with this paper - as I haven't a clue.
Colour shows better on the increased size photo.

Hi Whippet, What a lovely wallpaper! Have you tried on online colour wheel? I use this one, which gives you a number of options, and provides you at the end with the HEX numbers.

Hi whippet As Simone said a color wheel can be handy. Not sure of this will work for you or not. My wife is a quilter and she often asks for my opinion color matching. Last year she liked some of my house finch photos and remarked that the colors would work well for a table center or wall hanging. So I put a few finch pix into PSE and used the color selection eyedropper to select colors which were then used to make color squares and then made a print of the color squares. Shen then went into her substantial stash of materials and selected materials that sort of matched the colors. I might have a photo of the end result. Something like this could perhaps be used to pinpoint what might work for you. Use the wallpaper photo to select colors and ... well, see where it takes you. Of course, lighter colors usually work better on walls. Clive

From a quick enlarged view of the paper my choice would be the stamen color

Thank you all for your valuable help. Peter, I love magnolia colour, which is similar to the stamens. I wondered if I dare chance it, as I already have different magnolia shades in my conservatory, kitchen and this room.
Simone, I shall take the photo to the colour wheel, and have a browse.
Clive. I see your point. Those birds and colours are amazing. And, yes, I forgot to mention that the room is north facing, so is always on the dark side.
Thank you again. Much appreciated.
