Lots of great images to choose from this week and I shortlisted three that are similar to images I have taken but are a million times better due to the artistry of the photographer.
taco40 took a great picture of a Canada? goose with a great blurred background the colour of which suggests the colour of the bird itself. The expression on the bird is brilliantly menacing and a great title made me smile: ‘I have but one weapon with which to defend my lady.’
fotofrank ‘Dahlia’ is a beautiful close up of a beautiful flower, the complementary colours make this image pop and the focussing and detail captured is stunning.
pontiac1940 ‘Kestrel. Near Cowley, Alberta. Aug 19, 2018.’ Now I am a sucker for Birds of Prey and I love Kestrels, we have lots in the UK and you normally identify them hovering over local fields. This picture could be straight from a Bird of Prey photography workshop but I believe it is a wild male bird that has got something in its talons. It is my Image of the Week - Well done Clive.
