I am in awe of all of you who post such beautiful pictures of birds. Even a snail would put on a spurt of energy when seeing me approach with a camera and result in a blurred image!

Great shot,,,,,,,my hummers didn't co operate this year,if it wasn't them then it was the weather. You captured it all on this guy,fluffed up,perched and the angle correct to display the throat.... good job

Every time I look at that bird, it looks like he is wearing a black-and-white striped necktie; I wonder what it actually is. To my eye, that image is calendar or bird journal material. In fact, there are excellent images throughout this site.

Bayla I'm with you Bayla; HOW do they do it?!?! One way - zoom lens, very fast shutter speed and shoot in burst mode. Hopefully results in at least 1 keeper
