Yesterday On1 announced a new release for Photo Raw due in November. A quick look at the proposed improvements.
Layers moved into develop and effects, no separate module. Layers is now non-destructive new lightroom migration settings* portrait module focus stacking auto-align layers text master keyword list* improved local adjustments* layered HDR filter options in effects [film grain, curves, color] user interface improved*

Very glad to see they've finally ditched the separate layers module. That was an unnecessary encumbrance.

Pete, thanks for the heads-up! I love that Layers won't be a separate module any more. The addition of a Text Tool is definitely a plus.
