ATTENTION!!!
There is no longer a "next Sunday" posting deadline. You can grab your camera, take your photo, and post it in this thread any time you wish to.
Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE
This week’s theme was a joint suggestion by Dennis and Brenda -- dennis9 . (Thanks, Dennis and Brenda!)

We had falling water a couple of weeks ago so how about moving water. This is Oxtongue rapids - a popular spot for photographers especially at this time of the year as the colours are changing. There were at least 10 tripods set up along the river when I was there - I managed to avoid them and just hand-held this shot. Tony

I took this one week before the theme came out. I was trying to get some different impressions so that some of what I did would fit into at least one recent category. This was one of my favorite shots from the trip. The locomotive has been hauling people and freight on this track since it came out of the factory in 1923. The other rolling stock dates back to when the line started operating in 1881.

Wow. That is fantastic, Rick. Is that on the side of a mountain?
I wonder how many billion cigarettes would have to be smoked to cause as much as that engine.
Is the Zooliner another train, Bill? I have never seen anything like that before.

Yes, the Zooliner is a train that gives zoo-goers a chance to take a ride around the Oregon Zoo.

The line runs from Durango to Silverton in southwestern Colorado. It is very definitely in the mountains. There were a lot of narrow gauge rail lines in Colorado during the height of the gold and silver mining period because they can make sharper turns and run through narrow canyons since the road bed is not as wide as standard gauge rail. It runs through a canyon along the Animas River. Some other shots showing some perspective:

What fantastic photos, Rick. Thank you for showing them. This reminds me of the most dangerous road in the world. Can't remember where that is. I would rather them than me, in those coaches. But, think of the pictures they could get.

whippet , nicely done! Capturing a subject famous for moving but in a not-moving situation. Very clever!

Tony Tony, impressive shot on more than one count -- composition, clarity, colors, the moving of the water, and . . . hand-held! Great job!
