I was trying to create a panorama in Elements 18 and I can't do anything. (Adobe Help was no help at all, or youtube) I did know how to do this back in the early days of Elements, but the upgrade has me stymied. I got as far as opening things in the Organizer, then there is an option under Edit to create a panorama, or photomerge. When I open the files it bumps me into the Editor under Guided, then says it will create it in Expert mode. After that it's pretty much a dead end. So, would someone mind giving me a step by step set of directions?

You can begin creating a panorama either by selecting the photos in the Organizer or by going directly from the Editor. Starting with PSE 14, Photomerge Panorama is no longer in the Expert edit mode (Enhance>Photomerge> . . .). It has been moved to the Guided edit mode. This means that tutorials written for PSE 14 and above will work just fine in PSE 2018.

It might be clear to you, but I find it convoluted after having gotten used to how it worked in Elements 10 (New -> Panorama, simple). When I went to Adobe Help it linked to a video showing how to do it in Elements 14 with the menu item under Enhanced. Anyway, I did manage to work through it just now, they definitely did not improve the process. (and it's really not much of a photo as it turned out)

Thanks. That help is more helpful than the unhelpful video I found, which I just mentioned in another reply. I still think they made it more difficult, anyway, I was able to create a panorama (also as I said, hardly worth the trouble).

Hi pwahl,
I have both PSE 10 and PSE 14 on my PC.
I don't have any Photomerge menu items under Enhance in PSE 14. Can you post the link to the video you watched?
In PSE 14 Photomerger Panorama is under Guided Edits as Sepiana explained.
I find the PSE 14 Photomerge more streamlined than PSE 10.

Whoops, can't do anything tonight, the links says it was Elements 11. I'll post the link anyway.

No problem pwahl,
I saw in your reply that it was originally inside the quote tags for my post you quoted.
I notice that sometimes when I click a "Quote" button to include in my reply, the cursor is stuck inside the quote and I can't click out of it.
To fix that, you can simply click the bbcode button near the bottom left corner of your post editor. This will put your editor in bbcode mode (by default editor is in preview mode) which then allows you to click out of the quote tags which you can actually see while in bbcode mode.

pwahl, you are most welcome! Glad to help. I myself found those two tutorials very helpful, particularly the PDF one. It is very detailed and the screen shots help a lot. Adobe has done a lot of work on their Help files but I believe there is still room for improvement. One of the changes they made was to create a "hub" for their Help files (PDF).
