It was extremely difficult to narrow it down to just 3 choices for comment, but these are my 3 picks in in alphabetical order of the image title."Hall Of Mirrors by alexr"I really like the way the high dynamic range has been captured and preserved in the image. The view out the windows on the left are not blown out and there is still detail in the shadows inside. The "convergence" composition is really well done as lines that are meant to be vertical or horizontal still are without distortion. "Peascape by srmoment"Amazing image!!! I really like the colours and processing. They complement each other brilliantly. This image is so, so easy on the eyes. Love it! and I wish I was capable of producing images like this one. "The Singer-Songwriter by PeteB"Wonderful processing of a very interesting and captivating subject. Looking at the image, I can just about hear him singing.

No need to post my top three images as they are the same as Bailey's!
Alex...beautifully captured and presented.....impressive image for all the reasons Bailey pointed out. Wondering if this was taken from a rope-offed area or you waited till you had the room clear of visitors?
Pat......I like the way you have used and processed a part of the bird to be used as the background. Regal treatment for a regal bird!
Pete......love that you have created a signature processing style that makes your images readily recognizable. I especially like that you have used a complimentary texture for the background in this image and am fascinated that the $20 bill can be easily identified!

I will make my selections in a couple of days, but in the meantime, in reply to your kind and generous comments Bailey and Helen on my 'Versailles Hall of Mirrors' image. I'm pleased you picked up on the dynamic range as it is an HDR image using +/-2 and processed in Aurora. There is another image facing the other way on my Flickr page which is just from a single image and highlights and shadows pushed all the way. I find iI need to find a balance between noise from the shadows and HDR noise with each image Regarding the lack of other people, we followed some advice to book timed 'beat the queue' tickets for opening time then racing past all the other rooms to get to the Hall of Mirrors ahead of everyone else, which we did. I still had to remove a lot of posts and wires in processing but these were only knee high so easier than whole people.
Edit to this post: I was talking nonsense above, the image posted is the single shot, my one on Flickr is the HDR.

On Skunk Lake by Kathy Lee: This is a beautifully captured swan and I love how simple it and the grass island look surrounded by water - elegant but simple! Hall of Mirrors by AlexR: I love the perspective here, the way the lines travel and the golden tones. An Autoharpist by PeteB: I agree that PeteB has a style that is instantly recognizable. The expression on this lady's face and the way she is clutching the harp shows emotion and tells a story.

My selections and comments, in the order presented:
The Black Umbrella by kathylee. I love images that you need to study, but first they have to have enough impact to make you want to study it, and this does just that. You can't just glance at it without wanting to know what the figures are up to in amongst those great swirling patterns, and why the umbrella?
Peascape by srmoment. I can't even begin to think how srmoment imagines these images let alone how they actually achieve them. But I am so glad they do because it is beautifully conceived and created. The use of peacock feathers and background colours complement the main subject perfectly.
Before Dawn by dandc. Excellent composition, showing the majesty of an iconic structure, great to focus on one end to fill the frame and to show the lovely texture of the water and the subtle punctuation of lights, all pulled together with a subtle vignette.

My selections, in the order they were presented, are:
peascape by srmoment Stunning - This magical work of art stopped me in my tracks, as have all the creations by Pat processed in this fashion.
Girls by tpgettys Whimsical - I find the colors and artistic processing of this photo to be very appealing and wall-worthy.
Hall of Mirrors by alexr Masterful - Love this shot . . . and to find out it isn’t an HDR just makes me ponder how both the inside and outside views can be so well preserved and presented.

Thanks to Helen for organizing Member’s Choice. It is always difficult to choose just three, here are my selections (not in any particular order). Pat’s “Peascape” again shows her artistry and also displays her excellent editing skills. When I saw Tom’s “Girls” image, I immediately liked the “look” of the individuals. I am not sure if this image is a photo of a painting, or perhaps it is a composite image made to look like a painting, but In either case, I like the “look” of the people. Rick’s Hall of Mirrors is an excellent capture and I am in agreement with the other members’ comments. And, I also enjoyed reading about his early arrival plan and his race ahead to get this shot. It demonstrates how prior planning can contribute to a successful shot.

Thanks for the call-outs! A couple of people asked about it here and elsewhere, so just to let you know it is a painting. Here is a link to the artist and some of her other works:
