My niece was up from fort myers for a visit and her friend is just getting into PSE 13 as her boyfriend is getting into photography as a profession. I've been helping the best I can since I'm using CC.
My question is this. If I make a brush for them in Photoshop will they be able to use it? TIA

I have Photoshop CC 2014. I have made a few brushes and they work just fine in Elements. I have used these brushes in Elements 7, 10, 11, 12, and 13.
I believe the compatibility issue with brushes applies when you are using an older version of Elements. Adobe made some changes in the brush engine -- brush sets created in newer versions of Photoshop won't work in older versions of Photoshop or older versions of Photoshop Elements.

Thanks, Sepiana. I wanted to be sure before making the offer. The guy is a great photographer and his gf handles the post work. They were posting the work on fb without any copy protection so I mentioned a watermark and a signature brush also. She is just beginning and I walked her through layers and opacity. Again, thank you.
P.S. am glad Elements village found a new home. I also pointed them the way here.!
