For what use do you use PSE+ mostly? Are there any simple things it is good for?

Most of the enhanced capabilities probably aren't considered simple. I use Elements+ for focus stacking, layer alignment, noise reduction.
Elements+ includes 11 “main” scripts designed for accessing the undocumented PSE features. In addition to the main scripts, there are dozens of supplementary scripts intended for some specific tasks. The main scripts categories are listed below. In future articles, we’ll look at the supplementary scripts found under each of these main categories. There are tons! Berie Although there are many features available in Elements+, here is a list of those that I use often. Easy to access and easy to use. Curves (I use this on every image) Black and White Adjustment Layer Edit in ACR Selective Color Color Lookup Color Balance Raw Corrections Shortcuts Reveal Mediadatabase (this is a favorite when I need to locate and trash the pse mediadatabase )  Here is a link that describes each of the features available … btw I’m using PSE 2018 simplephotoshop.com/elementsplus/index.htm |

Hi Berengaria,
I mostly use:
Raw Corrections Black and White Adjustment Layer Split Channels
and the most useful feature for me is the ability to run custom scripts that I create to make my workflow more efficient.
Is there some functionality/feature that is not in PSE that you would like? If yes, maybe it is available in Elements+
The Elements+ web site provides a very good overview and if you click Documentation in the main menu bar you will see very well put together help information on each E+ feature.

For what use do you use PSE+ mostly? Are there any simple things it is good for? Berie In my humble opinion, PSE+ is the best thing ever to happen to Elements and is well worth the cost. What I use most (and probably a lot of it won't apply to your Elements version) are the Layer Mask features. After that, at least on my version, there is a little green tray menu icon that resides down next to the clock; I use that menu for something on nearly every picture. In that tray menu, I use the printable DVD feature and it is by far the best one I have found yet. There are numerous one-click fixes that are plenty good at their default value and tweakable if needed. I use the Sharpen fly-out menu quite often. I use some of the features in both the Landscape and the Portrait fly-outs. There is just so much stuff available that one is certain to find several handy features. |
