Hi srmonent, ....the colors that print are the same as I see on my monitor. ... Now we are starting to talk about calibrating/profiling printers whereas up to now only monitor calibration/profiling has been mentioned. I assume only the colours in the printer's colour gamut are the same as on your monitor. A screen can display many, many, many more colours than a printer can.
That is why you would have selected a Rendering Intent option when submitting the print to tell the printer how to handle colours from an image that are outside of the printer's gamut.
