ATTENTION!!!
There is no longer a "next Sunday" posting deadline. You can grab your camera, take your photo, and post it in this thread any time you wish to.
Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE
A link to a video playing the Holiday song whose title is being interpreted by your image will be appreciated. If not possible, a link to the song lyrics will do. Happy Shooting and Happy Holiday Singing!

I took the picture of the house today. It is a ceramic house that someone gave me as a gift a number of years ago. I chose the background from pixabay and added the frame. There were many renditions of this song on youtube but I chose the one that included cottages similar to the one in my picture. I just reread the rules and see that photoshop should be kept to the basics. My image is a composite. u.cubeupload.com/HMCA/IllbeHomeforChristma.jpgI'll Be Home for Christmas.....
Original house picture.

Hi everyone,
A member asked which is the best way to tackle this theme.
- To shoot a photo first and, then, search for a Holiday song to interpret it.
OR
- Find a Holiday song first, and, then, shoot a photo to interpret it.
It doesn't matter really; just do what you feel most comfortable with. I myself find it easier to pick some songs first and, then, grab my camera and go shooting.
See if this will help.

Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, by the Riverbottom Nightmare Band. Who knew? You probably won't be disappointed if you don't follow the link, but here it is: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJ3cWWNXBHgThanks for the theme Sepiana. It's not easy to find holiday songs about otters.

Original house picture. And I forgot that it is 'Holiday songs'.
My songs just jumped into my head. And I took it from there.

I agree, Helen. It took me such a long time just to find a place to shoot the picture that I forgot about looking for the song. I had to hang them up over my bathtub because it was the only place where I could arrange a curtain background. I'm not exactly set up for much photography

I was passing by a local Christmas Tree farm today and a song came into my head! O Tannenbaum which is the original German song which translates to O Christmas Tree. A couple of shots - a large field of young trees that won't be ready for market for a few more years and some mature trees that may or may not make it to market (Ontario has strict grading requirements for Christmas Trees!) I'll go with the German version by Nat King Cole or for an English version there's one by Aretha FranklinTony

I had to hang them up over my bathtub because it was the only place where I could arrange a curtain background. Rita, those little angels are a perfect match to "Hark the herald angels sing". I really like that you took the time to "create" your shot. Beautiful result!

hmca , that little ceramic house was a perfect match for the song you chose -- I'll be Home for Christmas. Great choice of photo and song!

Bill, you never cease to surprise me -- otters "decorated" for Christmas, perfect song to go with your photo, and . . . Jim Henson. It can't get any better. I love it.
