Double for your money. A new amaryllis flower bud and my new 2019 © brush. The amaryllis flower stalk will grow 50 cm or so in the next 2 or 3 weeks and then huge flower will unfold. Okay, it is still not 2019 where I live, but it is January 1, 2019 somewhere. Happy New Year! Clive The potted bulb was placed on the dining table in a sunbeam...the sun here is low off the horizon. The background was in shade and I also placed a black felt backdrop to make sure there were no details. The base of the flower (top of bulb) was shaded using a couple of objects (a hat and a candle) placed on the table to block the sun. A couple of minor low-grade highlights in the lower foreground were cloned away.  |

"It’s a great time waster!" No such thing if it makes you happy! That's the only thing that counts. Love the drawing! Bright and lively! A wealthy friend (ha ha NOT me for sure) who worked all over the world and sailed his yacht (yes, yacht) all over the world has art from, yes, all over the world  and has some paintings that look like your fun painting. The beaver have been very busy in a local park with new trees chopped down and a new lodge being built on the edge of the lake. It's an impressive structure - lots of branches held together by mud. Here's what's a left of a tree recently chewed down by the beaver - I couldn't do it better with an axe :  And here's their lodge. No need to build a dam here as humans have already done it for them so the water level stays pretty much constant in the lake.  Tony |

This is my new pastime, drawing, watercolour and then finished in Snapseed. It’s a great time waster! Jackie, what an interesting "Something New". It looks like a lot of fun. Beautiful and colorful results!
Thanks for mentioning Snapseed! I have an old version of it on my computer but haven't used it for a long time. |
