I seem to remember that On1 said it wouldn't work as a plug-in for PS but some people seem to be able to do that. Has anyone figured out how to do that?
Thanks!

ON1 Photo RAW works just fine as a plug-in in Photoshop CC; I have it installed in two copies of this program. Under the Filter menu you can access three modules -- Develop, Effects, and Portrait. Under the File>Automate menu you can access these three modules and Resize.

Thanks, Pete. Off to watch the video now. Sepiana, that is how I have accessed it in the past. However, going this route only brings up my 2018 version.

Now I remember something like this happening to me before (with an earlier version of Photo RAW). I contacted ON1 Support and they fixed the problem.

Yes, guessing that is what I need to do. Thanks, Sepiana.

Update........I have had two contacts from On1 but the issue hasn't been resolved yet. I am sure they will work it out with me. I have always found On1 support to be top-notch.

If it's any help on a PC my plug-ins for Photoshop CC are in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC and you should have 4 for ON1 2019 (ON1 Develop 2019-suite.plugin and same for Effects, Portrait and Resize) the 2018 and earlier ones are likely there too as they don't seem to delete even if the program has gone. If they are missing then you may need to reinstall. My recollection is that during the install it asks you about installing the plug-ins and you need to confirm that you want them installed in the programs it lists.
PS - although launching ON1 from Lightroom or Photoshop is useful for many reasons it does have one downside in that you can't use Layers or Browse if you're using ON1 RAW as a plug-in and, as I'm finding, there are some neat things you can do with layers in ON1

Thanks, Tony. Their first suggestion was to uninstall/reinstall On1. The problem is that when installing it doesn't recognize PSCC......it says it will be installed as a plug-in in Photos and Lightroom. The next suggestion was to uninstall/reinstall PSCC and then install On1......have done that twice. Waiting for next direction from them. I have found a "system" that works for me combining filters from NIK and On1 so I like being able to use them both from within PS. And I really like using On1 for textured images. I am hoping to become more familiar with On1 ini the next year. I haven't used their layers feature yet. I need to watch more of their videos.

Heard from On1 again. Solution was to copy and paste the plug-ins from On1 into Plug-in folder in PSCC. Even with his specific directions I can remember when directions like that would send me into a tizzy! However, with the support I've received from members of the old EV and members here I was able to proceed with confidence. Feeling thankful!

I did wonder about trying that but went to look for the plug-ins from ON1 and couldn't find them. If I run into the problem I'll have to ask ON1 where they are - they are usually very helpful. Tony

tonyw here are their directions for finding their plug-ins: "You can find our plugin files located in the Documentation folder of our app. Applications/ ON1 PHOTO RAW 2019 /Plugins/ (go into each folder here and copy the plugin file) You want the Develop, Effects, Portrait & Resize plugins that end in .plugin file extension. You do not want to copy the Resize lrplugin or ON1 PHOTO RAW 2019.lrplugin files."

I did wonder about trying that but went to look for the plug-ins from ON1 and couldn't find them. I thought the same. It took me a while but I found them in . . . C:\Program Files\ON1\ON1 Photo RAW 2019\Plug-in Files.

Thanks Sepiana - that's good to know. Not sure how I missed them but having recently switched my C drive to a bigger one, so now having an M drive called Old C as well as a few other drives in between, there are a few things I know must be somewhere if I know their names and look hard enough in the right place . Tony, you are most welcome!
I am afraid this can be quite confusing because of the way Adobe handles certain self-installing plug-ins in Photoshop CC. When you install ON1 Photo RAW (or Topaz and NIK for that matter), the files are not placed in the Plug-ins folder within PS CC, the usual destination. C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019\Plug-ins
Instead, these plug-ins get installed via the Common Files folder. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC
If I remember it correctly, some time ago Adobe made an announcement about the Common Files route for plug-ins, about working close with the creators of plug-ins to design their installers to follow this route.
