I remember Simone and Clive posting some ice crystal shots last year, I think. Just came across this photographer whose macro crystals are just stunning! Enjoy! If you come to a blank page just click to the next one....there seemed to be some when I looked at the pictures. I had left a comment on her Flickr page and today she responded with this link. It has additional images and tells a bit about how she captures them.

It's already 5 below zero, so I might just get a chance to try this.

Nice photos in the galleries Helen. Thanks. One interesting thing about a good macro lens is (if you are so moved) you can walk around a small garden area and find no end of things to photograph. Dew drops and ice crystals are great .. but quite hard to shoot well. Not been cold enough here to do a repeat of the ice crystal bubbles this winter. Probably will happen yet. Clive

Absolutely amazing photos hmca. Thank you for sharing How beautiful! Not likely to see anything like that where I live... Yep, I'm in the same boat as you jackscrap (also in Melbourne). Forecast max temperatures for the next 4 days are 30C, 37C, 35C, 31C Come to think of it, even our winters are nowhere near cold enough to get shots like those
