I don't know how I missed this challenge.
I love orbs, and all of these are beautiful.

Here's a little tip on isolating your orb from the background. After creating your orb, restore the foreground/background colors to the default (Shift-D). Select the Paint Bucket Tool (K) and set the Tolerance to 0 and check the Contiguous box. Now click anywhere in a corner; it should fill the corners with black! At this point, if you wish, you can select the black using the Quick Selection Tool and delete it so you can replace the background with something else of interest, or invert the selection to get just your orb to place in a garden perhaps!

I made this a long time ago and am sorry but can’t locate the original image. However it was a photo of an altar in an Aboriginal Mission Church and the altar and most of the church had been decorated with oyster shells very beautiful.

Thank you! My inspiration was Helen's entry using a palm tree also. I realized that anything with elements radiating from a center will result in those elements pointing at the center after the orb actions.

What beautiful textures and pastel shades. whippet, thanks for the comment! The textures and pastel colors were the result of applying the Pastello plug-in.
