Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE
I am assigning no theme this week. It is your turn! Pick a theme which appeals to you, grab your camera, and capture something which will be an interpretation of the theme you chose. Also, let us know what your theme is and how your image relates to it. Have fun!

After the big freeze here last week yesterday it warmed up and I got outside with the camera to get some pictures of the ice before it all melts. So I'll go with the theme Ice and here are some natural ice sculptures along Lake Huron. I decided to go black and white using the Fuji Acros film simulation. Tony

One more with the Ice theme - sitting here was not too comfortable today! Tony

I used burst mode with continuous focusing and 1/4000s shutter speed for both these shots.
The kite surfers were really humming across the water.

Tony Tony, what an interesting (and cold) theme! Great shot on more than one count -- composition, details, and processing. Going B&W really brought out the freezing/icy angle.

One more with the Ice theme - sitting here was not too comfortable today! Tony Tony, amazing clarity and details; we can just "feel" the ice starting to melt away. I really like how you composed your shot -- an invitation to sit and enjoy the view (even if it may not be too comfortable).

After the cold snap, it was nice to be able to take a walk in the park. My theme for this week is "Topiary".

We got our first snowfall of the season last night, and while "Bench in Snow" has already been used, I'll follow suit. Thanks for the theme Sepiana.

This time I have gone with the theme "Freezing Action".
I took these photos on Australia Day a couple of weeks ago. I have blurred out the faces for privacy reasons.

Dennis, you have a great eye for Themes. I really like how you composed our shot -- the walking path drawing our eyes to the subject. Very effective!

Bill, beautiful image! I love the tones and the composition. Great DOF! Frame and place this image on the wall.
I admire yours and tonyw 's commitment to the WP challenge. Facing the inclement weather to get a shot!

Sort of following up on Tony's "ice" theme. This theme is winter. After a warm December and January, February has been bitterly cold. (The official high today at the airport t was -24°C ... a huge 23C° below average!) So winter it is. Dave and Jynx and I went for a one-hour walk this afternoon. Very serene. Quiet. No people...all the smart people where at home. Was just fine and we were warm. I'd never walk alone in this weather. If I got into trouble, it would be dangerous.

Theme is either Winter 2.0 or "Rule of Sixths" Across the street this afternoon. -24°C. Sunny. No wind. (-11°F)
