Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. - Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

In the middle of a Crocus flower, its petals spread wide to the February sunshine, the stamen is offering its pollen - but it's a bit early for the bees.

Here are a couple middles, one of which I ate because it was still warm out of the cooker. Thanks for the theme Sepiana!

A lone tree in the middle of a farmers field. Getting harder to find as it makes cultivating the crop trickier but it does look much nicer than one big empty field. Tony

Until I showed up, this porcupine was in the middle of a nap, in the middle of a tree and I was in the middle of a walk and when done I had to drive back into the middle of the city (small) and pick up my wife who does not have a middle name.

Helen, your fish looks lonely. Clive I'm afraid that might be the least of its problems as its only other companion was a loggerhead turtle that was off to the side......

Well Helen, then the turtle will be lonely! Full belly, but lonely.

In the middle of its moat, Bodiam Castle is nevertheless defenceless against the crowds of visitors on a warm February afternoon.

In the middle of renovations, this oasthouse still manages to look picturesque.

Dennis, the blurred and dark background makes the lighter colors of the Crocus pop up and draws our eyes towards the stamen. Spot-on focus! I noticed this image was the winner of this week’s IOW. Congratulations are in order! Well-deserved recognition!

Bailey, interesting take on this week’s theme -- In the Middle of . . . Nowhere. Nicely done!

Bill, two very colorful images -- great focus and capture of the details. A treat for the eyes and . . . the taste buds. Thanks for not eating the second "middle".

Tony, great finding to fulfill this week’s theme. I really like your composition technique -- the lone tree centered in the frame. It adds impact to its loneliness standing the middle of the field.
