From simple to surreal, these were the types of images that made my IOW short list this week.
Honourable Mentions:
Rose repeated – alexr
I found it amazing how the simplicity of a single rose could be transformed into such an intriguing image. And against the black background the red rose creation is striking. Luckily for us, Alex has shared his technique as to how this image was crafted so that we can all give it a try. Thank you Alex!
Surreal Marsh – Sepiana
I totally love the plant reflections on the water as well as the beautiful iridescent sheen of the water. With the ducks swimming in the backgrounds this makes for a very serene and lovely image. Nicely done, Sepiana!

Crocus – dennis9
I find that often times the beauty of an image lies within the simplicity of its subject. To me, Dennis’ lovely crocus is a perfect example of this. I feel the framing with a bold white stroke and black border works well to enhance the image and makes this one a winner in my books. Thank you Dennis for sharing this one with us this week!
