I'm a refugee from Elements Village, never found a home after it disappeared! My old Vista machine along with PSE 5 has gone to "Digital Dignitas", I may soon follow but in the meantime, I hope you guys will help me discover the delights and secrets of PSE 15 and Premiere Elements, which I'm considering buying soon for my Windows 10 Machines.

Welcome, Hexeta. You will find a number of our members have found refuge here after the closing of our beloved EV. Hope you will soon feel right at home. Specific questions are welcomed and someone can usually help you figure things out.. I have to say that your on-line doppleganger is one of our administrators. So don't be surprised if someone may get you confused : )

Hi hexeta , and welcome! You will find that there are quite a few refugees from the village here. That is very odd that my avatar is showing up as yours. How did that happen???
Perhaps you should choose another so we don't get confused!

What can I say in mitigation; I'm a bit of a magpie, ...see something nice and shiny, put it in my nest and save it for later. I actually saw it whilst attempting to navigate the Adobe website yesterday, ...nightmare! I've changed it to one that's all my own work. ...well mine and Elements 5!

I've changed my Avatar to one that I actually created, so no chance of duplication, though I've seen others have harvested it for their own use, How dare they!!

Hello hexeta.
I did not know Elements Village. But rest assured, you have now found the best home you could possibly wish for.

Hi hexeta, welcome to PSE&M! We have several EV refugees here (including myself). You will feel right at home in no time! Help is only one post away; just post and we will come to the rescue. As you mentioned Premiere Elements, I thought I would clarify that this forum doesn't have a Premiere Elements board. When we, Administrators, started this forum, the decision was made that its focus would be on Photoshop Elements and that anyone looking for help with Premiere Elements should be directed to the Adobe Premiere Elements forum. Over there users of this program will get the timely and expert help they need (and deserve) from Steve Grisetti and Co.

Hi Sepiana, thanks for the welcome. My last version was PSE 5 so you can see I'm easily satisfied! I have just been browsing Amazon to see what offers were about and saw some bundled deals with Premiere Elements. I've never had any Video editing software and can't imagine I would use it much, so it's unlikley to be a deciding factor. I'm just happy to tinker about with photographs and learn how to get the best from them. I can't wait to experience the improvements that have taken place since PSE 5!

Hi Andy, thanks for your welcome! I'm not dead (yet)! ...just trying to prepare myself for a re-install of Win 10 after Microsoft "naused it up" when attempting to assist me! I'll be using PSE 2019 rather than buying an older version just to get Premiere Elements which I don't think I would use. Once my machine is back to normal, I'll be able to import all my picture folders from my ancient Vista machine before it breathes it's last! Meanwhile, I'm just trying to get familiar with this shiny new toy!

Hi hexeta,
I record a significant amount of video and have the PSE/PRE bundle.
I can highly recommend Premiere Elements. I use it to create animated slide shows which often include video clips as well.
You can create realy stunning effects which give life to a slide show as opposed to a plain vanilla slide show with just images appearing sequentially.
