We are fortunate to live across the road from the Alberta Birds of Prey and the town park ponds in the Coaldale (Alberta). Was a lovely evening (April 12) so I went for a walk after dinner. This was taken less than 200 m from our front door.

Nicely captured, the photo opportunities where you live must be never ending. I love seeing birds in flight, and since I wonโt be taking any of my own Iโm delighted that you share yours.

Amazing capture. It's hard to get such a perfect photo of flight. Great job.

I love seeing birds in flight, Me too. So majestic. I saw two swans in flight a couple of days ago. Of course, I did not have my camera.
Your goose is magnificent when enlarged, Clive. And look at that sheen on its neck.

Thanks all. I like this photo too although my "hit" rate on BIFs is very low.
"look at that sheen on its neck." What is unusual about this photo is there is little post on it...close to original.
When I was driving home a while ago, two American white pelicans were on the ponds so I'll see if I get take some photos. Most years around this time, a large "herd" of pelicans stops over for one or two days on their way to their breeding grounds in the far north.
