If you are interested in wasting a lot of time in an amusing way here is a plug-in I just discovered, Flexify 2 by Flaming Pear www.flamingpear.com/free-trials.html It makes things like this

Some great shapes there, ritage. I should really master what I have already got, before I take on more, though.
Edit. Just taken a look. There are a lot of different things there, as well as the Flexify.

I had downloaded the trial and used it to create this picture from my gallery. The problem that I found was trying to repeat an effect I liked.....I found it to be random....although probably not for the shapes that you included Rita.

whippet, Flexify has only recently been added to the Freebies. That's why I thought it might be worthwhile to point it out. The others have been available for quite a long time.
BTW, the download says it is only a Trial, but it does not seem to expire.

Helen, repeating an effect is so difficult because the interface has so many variables and if just one factor is changed the result is different. But it is not random. It is possible to save a setting by using those little empty circles. Or keeping notes, of course, something I'm very bad at

Thanks, Rita. I will have to try this again when we get home and settled.....good to now they now have a free version. I wish there was a way to get rid of so many of the options, as there were only a few that I could see myself using. I had tried contacting them but never got a reply. Someone in a FB group that I'm in has created some beautiful flower images using this plug-in.

Helen, when you click the little question mark you get this list of steps that can be done. It still does not tell you what to do, but I found it of some help.
The Product Page on the Flaming Pear web site says a User's Guide is included in the download, but was not included in mine. That must have been for the paid version, which doesn't even seem to be available any more. I found a Guide with Google and it may enlighten me when I get around to studying it, although it seems a bit skimpy to me. Maybe it is not complete.

If I make any substantial discoveries I'll let you know, but don't hold you breath

I was wrong; I didn't have it. I have just downloaded the freebie. It came with a User's Guide.
BTW, thanks for sharing this! Now I have one more toy to play with.

Sepiana, thanks for showing this. I just downloaded again and it is included. I believe it's a better version than the one I found, much longer. Something must have gone wrong when I unzipped the first download.
