The first image is a 9 portrait orientation panorama of Jiu Qu Bridge (Yuyuan Garden Market Place, Shanghai, China) stitched together in PSE.
I also did a bit of dodging and burning, using a 50% grey filled layer with overlay blending mode, to extract a little more detail in the shadows.
The second image is a single shot from side on.
The enlargements are clearer.

What an enchanting looking place, great processing results. I love the size of the water lilies in the water.

Thank you jackscrap.
It's hard to tell from the photos I took because I couldn't find a high enough vantage point, but the bridge follows a zig-zag pattern.
I found this photo on the right (probably an old photo now) on the www which shows the bridge from high up. Maybe a drone was used for this photo.
I took the photos to make the panorama from the walk-way near the top left hand corner.

What incredible detail. I could spend hours just studying it. What an amazing trip you had. Lucky you. Thanks for sharing with us. Berie

Thank you Berie.
Yes it was an amazing trip. But after 8 weeks away we are very happy to be back home now.
My Sigma 17-70mm lens helped a lot regarding the detail. With IS (Image Stabilisation), which Sigma claim is up to 4 stops, I still had to hold the camera very steady since the shutter speed was only 1/80s due to the overcast conditions. I don't take my tripod when traveling.
I also did some dodging and burning, as described earlier, to extract a little more detail in the shadows and highlights.

As I mentioned earlier, I couldn't get a high enough vantage point to show the zig-zag pattern of the bridge, but this photo I took sort of shows the pattern.
(Enlargement is clearer.)
