These are some of the single shots I took while we walked through The Humble Administrator's Garden (a World Heritage Site) - Suzhou, China in April 2019. Suzhou is a very pretty city located between Shanghai and Wuxi. It was an overcast gloomy day but I still had a lot of fun taking photos.

Bailey, I know you produce videos from your pictures but I wonder if you also make photo books? Your China pictures would make a beautiful book.

Hi hmca, No, normally I don't make photo books, mainly because Mrs B. and I would most probably hardly, if ever, sit down and look through them. However, more recently I have started to think about using some of my images to make wall calendars. Normally, I prefer to make videos using Premiere Elements. PRE allows me to animate images as well as obviously include video clips which I also record plenty of. With PRE I can add a sound track with background music to help create a mood/ambience and also an extra soundtrack with my own recorded narration to help better tell "the story". We both prefer to watch a video on a large TV screen than flip through a photo book, but that is just us. Videos also make it a lot easier to share our experience with others when they come to visit or via email. I also do my own image printing here at home, have them framed by someone else and then hang them here at home.
Next to The Humble Administrator's Garden is the Suzhou Museum. We popped in for a quick look after we left the garden. One of the displays was a model of The Humble Administrator's Garden.

We were walking along Pingjiang Road, Suzhou, China when I took this photo.
Pingjiang Road is in the historical part of Suzhou. The buildings, at least the facades, have been preserved or restored to original design/architecture since they were built 500-600 years ago.
The road, which also runs along a canal, is lined with small shops and businesses and homes.
In the photo you can see a man pulling up a bucket of water to use in his home for some purpose as a boat with 2 workers netting up rubbish floating on the canal passes by.

Walking a little further down along Pingjiang Road than in the previous photo.
Visitors can take a traditional ride along the canal.

Bailey, wondering if language was an issue on your trip?

No it wasn't because luckily for me I have my own personal translator, Mrs B. She was born in Shanghai but has lived more than half her life now in Australia. We try to go back to China every 2-3 years to visit her family and friends there. I couldn't travel around China by myself because then language would be a significant problem. Outside of Shanghai (Wuxi, Suzhou, Hangzhou the cities we usually visit) it is very rare to see non-Asian people traveling on their own. If had to travel to China by myself I would have to go with a tourist travel group and I would hate that.
