A late spring snow dump came overnight. The 4 inches of wet glop was gone by afternoon. This morning, I went over to check on a female who was nesting and I never thought she'd pull it off, i.e. hatching her brood that was in a public area. Well, I get there and she is walking around with dad and four goslings .. about 2 days old. The moisture was welcome, but enough already. We are ready for some warmth again and the weather gurus say this week is looking great! Was dull and foggy at the time.  |

Thanks all. Was glad I thought of checking the nest. whippet, they are quite cute for a few days and then get a blah coloration. Regarding the snow we had Monday morning. The weather gurus say it will be 26°C here on Saturday...that be 79°F ... shall see. Tens years ago tomorrow.   |
