Note: I am away and been quiet here. Yesterday, Monday May 13, two friends and I went fishing at Police Outpost Lake in SW Alberta. Fish were caught, but it was off, or we were off. No matter, we had a nice walk and the scenery makes up for the lack of fish. As Allen often says when the fishing is slow, "You know the fishing is not great when the highlight of the day is lunch." No matter, it's a pretty place. Gordy, not catching fish.

Looks like a really nice area for a panorama. I hope you were able to take some shots to create one.
For a foreground you could either have the stone/rock in your first image or if the fish aren't biting maybe your friend could snag his hook on the bottom and pull hard on the rod to bend it giving the impression he is hauling in a big fish

Thanks all. Bailey, I was going to work on some panos tonight but suspect I will prefer the wide angle scenic because of the sky...shall see. HA HA .. we could have snagged a rick for sure! Clive

Looks so peaceful and serene, lovely cloud reflections in the water too. Bad luck about the fishing...

Thanks Pat. Yes, trout. We've had a great run of weather for almost 2 weeks. I forgot to put sunscreen on yesterday and this morning...got a bit red. But the May Long is upon us and over the years the weather had been crazy on Victoria Day weekend. If the weather prognosticators are correct it will be very wet this weekend. That lake is at 1350 m (~4,500 feet) and I bet there is snow there by Saturday. The summer place is at 1,100 meters and it's cool here this evening. Shall see what unfolds. Clive
