I take a lot of photos in portrait mode, so this should have been a natural for me. I just haven't gotten out as much as I'd like and the weather has conspired to make for very poor light for photography, so I've been lacking in inspiration. Today we potted flowers to take to the cemetery tomorrow so my wife's family plots will look nice on Monday for Memorial Day observances. I worked the subject and came up with this: Shot on Canon 6D Mark II, EF 17-40 f4 L, ISO 100, 1/640 sec @ f4. Rick, your efforts definitely paid off. You ended up with a beautiful portrait-orientation image. Great composition and DOF!

I don't know why Bailey you felt the need to create controversy where none existed. Unfortunately, it accomplishes nothing other than taking this thread off track. From today's Memorial Day observances at the Fleming town cemetery. Rick, an unusual subject for a portrait orientation but you made the right call. It added a visual impact that may have not been there in a landscape orientation. The details are amazing!
