Sorry for posting this a day late; I hope you haven't all had a sleepless night wondering where the plaudits will go this week.
There were only seven images posted in the period, but still to the usual high quality and variety. My two honourable mentions are:
blackmutt Textured Tree and Moon. Eerily beautiful, this seems to me to be a night where wonderful things will happen. Visually, the moon and tree are well placed and linked by the flying birds, and then the bushes and fence line move your eyes around the frame.

Sepiana Geometric. I'm just a simple guy who takes pictures of things and then uses software to try to make the most of what I've captured. I cannot imagine where one starts to create a image like this (sorry that I don't always get a chance to read all the excellent tutorials on here). But just because it is clever to do it doesn't mean the resultant image is beautiful, but in this case it is. I love the subtle shading, the increasing vibrancy towards the centre and the complementary palette of colours.

And my Image of the Week is:
kathylee Copy Cat at Night. This must have been just so hard to photograph and process, getting the lit areas bright and vibrant, but still with the superstructure visible and crisp; I'm sure I would have blown everything out. What makes this special for me is not actually the tricolour as this is now a well known image, but it is elevated by the delicate lighting along the adjacent building, adding interest and contrast.

Thanks once more to all who have submitted images to their galleries for us to enjoy and learn from.
