I purchased a small, portable lightbox studio - pretty happy with the first results

I have occasionally thought of getting one of these. Did you have anything particular in mind that you wanted it for? Hope you'll post some additional pictures that you take with it.

For comparison would you consider adding to the post above with images taken with your lightbox when you have the chance? Certainly no rush but it might be good to see the difference. Just a suggestion.

Just a suggestion. Not certain I understand your question ... the subsequent images I just posted were those I took last night playing with the light box. I probably should have used the white background ... part of the learning curve.
The kit also comes with a diffuser which I also didn't use.
The first post was processed ... here's the SOOC which I shot straight down through the opening in the top.

Sorry....when you said SOOC above, I thought that they were images that you had taken before you got your lightbox, compared to the first one you posted that looked brighter.

That's a dramatic difference between the SOOC image and the one taken with the lightbox. Very impressive indeed. Could you post a picture of the lightbox itself, Pete. I could be very tempted to get one.

Yes, something like this is a must have especially, as you say, if you sell small items online.
My sister makes custom jewellery and glass items which she sells online. I bought her one of these types of light boxes about 10 years ago now. She loved it and her product photos improved out of sight after using it.
Sydney - Peter posted a link to the light box in his op. There is a photo there as well.

Cheers Bailey, I didn't notice the link. I am so jetlagged I am missing a lot of things today. Looks to be a very inexpensive and potentially very useful buy.

Next chapter - using supplied white background and difuser proved to be a better option. It was easy to add the texture using blending modes.

You chose a perfect texture, Pete! Nice results.
Like the effect of the diffuser.
