A friend recently recommended this product. Wondering if any of our members have tried it? Thoughts?

I have this program. It’s fine if you want a quick way of adding a preset effect from the ‘Effects Gallery’ which you can then tweak with the sliders on the left hand panel. You can add one effect to another building them up I believe. This is the part of the software I would use most of all. However when it comes to using the ‘Effects Editor’ part of the software, I have given up. It’s just too complicated for me but that could just be me! There is a free trial which allows you to use the preset effects and tweak to your hearts content but it doesn’t allow you to save the result. You need to purchase the software to do that. There are two versions – the Standard Version which is stand alone and the Pro version which allows you to use it as a plug in with PS/PSE. The plug in version is nearly double the price of the Standard version. If you look at the video, link below, he talks about ‘Image Treatment’. In the Trial version you don’t get an Image Treatment tab so you can’t try that. I just came across this video when looking to answer your question Helen and I have to say it’s the best video on this software that I have seen so far. That’s about all I can say about it. Hope it helps. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaMLNE8Zvk4

Thanks, Lillias. I just watched the video and sent it to my friend. What she likes about the program is how easy she finds it for adding one of her own textures and is particularly impressed with the edge awareness capabilities. Think I am leaning against it as I am pretty pleased with what I already own.
