Hi everyone!
I am a newbie to PSE and my goal is to create a full cover for a print edition of my eBook (i.e., front cover + spline + back cover) as a single hi-res PDF for printing. I have previously designed a front cover for the eBook using Canva.com by cropping a hi-res PNG image. I would like to continue the graphic for the spline and back cover but that entails three files that would need to be merged seamlessly.
Is the something I can accomplish using PSE?
Many thanks for any help!

Sorry, no one has responded, but that's probably because not that many people know how to do it. Have you tried finding templates on the 'net? I believe a template would be the easiest way to accomplish what you want to do. BTW - Welcome to PSE&M. EDIT -
I found this site (I Googled "template book cover front spine back" - if you don't include front spine back, you most likely will get templates for only front covers.) www.completelynovel.com/self-publishing/book-cover-creator-templatesOne crucial bit of info you will need is how thick your book will be. That will determine the size of the spine. I assume, this info will need to be provided by the book printer. Does the site that will be printing your book have templates?

Hi matrixunloaded , welcome to PSE&M! Glad to have you here. You can create book covers in Elements. There is more than one way to do it. It can be done from scratch; using a third-party template; or running an action (.atn file).
As your project includes generating "a single hi-res PDF for printing", would you please tell us 1) which PSE version you have and 2) if you use the Organizer? Your answer to these questions will dictate the direction of this discussion. Why? Because Adobe dropped PDF support in the Organizer back in PSE 15.
You can learn more about this Adobe change in this thread on the Adobe Feedback forum.
Elements 15: Organizer missing PDF Support
BTW, michelb is a member here; I will bring your inquiry to his attention.

Many thanks for any help! Nobody can answer this question without knowing the technical requirements of your ebook provider. Elements may not the best tool for pdf manipulation, but even with dedicated tools like Adobe Indesign or the free Scribus we can't imagine what formats or templates to be used. Generally, front and back covers need separate files (not necessarily pdfs). The problem of the spline is crucial as has already been stated. You need a template or precise size and position description from the printer. Once you get this information, I am confident you get solve the problem in Elements.
