I have 6 screen shots that I used Windows Snipping Tool to get that I need to resize to print on an 8 1/5 X 11 paper in horizontal formation. They are not all the exact same size but very near the same size, 1670 X 785 Pixels.
When I try to print now much of the left and right sides are cut off. Making the image smaller makes no difference on what is shown, it is still cut off in the same location on screen. The only difference is the image gets much blurrier when I tried going to 800 X 376
It seems I used to be able to use in Photoshop Elements 15 ( and many earlier versions ) Image / Resize / Image Size to get the job done.
But now that is not working.
Please tell me what I am doing wrong!
Thank you

In the image below (enlargement is clearer) I have a 1670px x 785px image. This is not the same aspect ratio as an 11in x 8.5in sheet of paper. Go to Image->Resize->Image Size Make sure "Resample Image" checkbox is Unchecked.Set Width to 11 inches and the height will be automatically calculated for you, 5.4in. This image will now fit on an 11in x 8.5in sheet of paper. You will see the resolution is calculated as 145ppi. Your printer will resample the image to its native printer resolution (Epson Printers are 360ppi, most others are 300ppi) so you might lose some image quality on the print depending on its contents. Go to File->Print and select printer and appropriate paper size, printer profile etc as normal and your print should come out ok. You will have blank space above and below the image on the print because your image is 5.4in high and your paper is 8.5in high.

Thank you Bailey for your help! I found my "Resample Image" was indeed checked. When I unchecked it, I then changed my Image size from 17.35 X 8.2 to 10 X 4.72
Doing that I saw NO difference inside Elements. I think I should have. When I brought up my software to print my document, it still did not fit within the width. The height was still full height and the left right sides were cut off each side.
Here is a screen shot of my Image Resize screen ( I hope! )

You won't see any difference in PSE when you resize without resampling. That is normal behaviour because without resampling, the image's pixel dimensions haven't changed.
Without resampling, you set either the width or height in the resize dialogue box and the other and resolution (ppi) are automatically computed according to the aspect ratio of your image. This is how you set the image to fit on a fixed sized paper. Ideally the calculated ppi should be close or equal to your printer's native resolution (as described in earlier post), but many times you can get away with ppi around 200 and still produce a reasonably good print.
So, from your screenshot, if you set the paper width to 10in then 4.7in is the height PSE calculates for your 1669px x 785px image at 166.9ppi. This again is all normal behaviour.
Therefore with these settings, your image will fit on any sheet size of 10in x 4.7in or larger. If your set paper size in the Print dialogue is smaller than your image size in inches then yes, parts of the image will be lost when printed.
If your image isn't printing correctly, then probably your paper size in your print dialogue box is not set correctly. I normally select the paper size directly in my printer driver dialogue box which the PSE Print dialogue then picks up automatically.
How are you printing your image?

For printing I use the software that came with my Canon TR8520 printer, Canon Easy-PhotoPrint EX software. I did just now try printing straight from Elements, and that works just fine! But I would sure like to know why I cannot use the Canon software...... I guess I will have to use Elements.... but am bewildered why the Canon software is not working? Thank you for your help Bailey!

No problem Inspeqtor.
I do quite a bit of printing and I do it all from PSE. It works really well for me.
I'm not sure why you would want to use other software especially if the printing from PSE is working for you as you say.
In any case, without knowing how you are setting up the print job and what settings you are using in the Canon software and how you are transferring the image to the Canon software, I really can't help much.
