Can't remember who taught me this tip but it is very useful for seeing which fonts look best on a scrapbook layout.
Type your text on your page. Then making sure your text layer is active, click on the Font name in the toolbar (no need to highlight your text). Then use the up and down arrows on your keyboard to scroll through your fonts until you find the one you want.
This works in PSE9 but I seem to remember someone couldn't get it to work work in later versions - maybe someone could try and confirm one way or the other?

I have Elements 12, (Mac) and I have to highlight the text for it to work.

Thanks for this tip, Bayla! I tested it on Elements 7, 10, 11, 12, and 13 on Windows. It works exactly the way you said.

I'm guessing it must work differently for Macs & Windows then. Thanks for testing it ladies.

Has always worked fine for me in Win7 with PSE13 but I have a long font list and sometimes it hangs up and I have to start over from the hang up point. Your tip sure does save a lot of time when you want to try different fonts. Thanks for the reminder ... Dave

Thanks Bayla. I used to use this tip and forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder.
UPDATE: Used this technique today. Worked just as I remember it did.
