Margret, That is quite a mystical photo in an "enchanted forest" way. It is calming and pleasing. Regarding the frame...I like white frames around images .. throwback to watercolor classes....they also give a matted appearance. (Drives me crazy when people put photo prints in a frame without a mat!! Maybe it's just me.  ) I always add a thin dark frame (4 to 10 pixels..usually 6 or 8 pixels) around the image before adding the white frame...this line is often a dark color picked from the actual image. After the white frame is added, then I usually add a 2 pixel black (or dark) line around the white mat. All this is done in "canvas size." I feel the images stand out better when posted especially on FB. Clive |

Thanks Clive, I shall give that a try. As The white frame could be seen on the Elements grey background, it never entered my head that it would be white on white here. That is another lesson learned . . . maybe!! The photo was taken on a local Nature Reserve, which has a very calming atmosphere - lots of wild flowers, and trees. It makes me forget that the town is only a couple of miles away to the west. And a couple of miles further to the south is industry. About the same distance away to the north and east, we have the sea. |
