The number of gallery entries was a bit lighter than usual this week, perhaps due to summer being in full swing in the northern hemisphere and people out and about enjoying all it has to offer. Nonetheless there were some fine images on display. Here are my selections for this week’s IOW:

Who could resist this cute little pooch! He/she could turn anyone’s frown upside down and certainly managed to put a smile on my dial with those eyes. Makes me want to go out and adopt a pet (if only I had more room!)
Bruges Geometry – hmca
I have been to Bruges and loved it. As well, I love geometry. Helen, with her great eye for composition, has managed to fuse the two to deftly create this splendid image which showcases the varied and striking lines of this beautiful city.

Great use of texture(s) and masking in this image to really make the colourful bouquet of flowers pop and stand out against the background. I really like the colour coordination in this image as well.
