H is for High in the Rockies - again shot at around 12,000 feet above sea level. Alpine tundra and Front Range in Rocky Mountain National Park. Rick, simply beautiful! Colorful and well-composed shot. Great choice of orientation -- portrait. It puts the spotlight on . . . High.

H is for Horizontal, which was my position when I took this one, lying flat on my tummy. Rick, lying flat on your tummy paid off. This is an awesome shot -- colorful, sharp, well-composed, with layers of interest (wildflowers, trees, mountain range).

H - is for Holly. Berries are starting to form already. H - is for Home Page. whippet, Perfect for this week's theme. I really like how you were able to capture the holly berries "popping up". And the Home Page shot? Very clever!!!

H is for Hot and Home which, according to the weather station, is currently the Hottest spot in Canada at 34°C (94°F) and High Humidity (68%). For us that's hot. Too hot to go far to try out a new lens so this is just outside the back door! Tony Tony, you got a trifecta of the letter H here. Great idea getting close to your subject; it "intensifies" the Heat angle. And the DOF? One to die for! Hopefully you will be able to try out your new lens in the coming WP challenge. Stay tuned!

"H" is for Home - in the middle of a duck pond. "H" is also for Humour, an unexpected find in a country village.
Brenda Brenda, pleased to see you back here (with your photographer's eyes). First shot -- What a finding! A home for ducks! I love how you captured the young duck (duckling?) stepping out of his home. The reflections on the water are a bonus. Second shot -- This takes top honors; I cant stop laughing. Great job focusing on that sign!

"H" is for Hampton Court, which we visited today. "H" is also for Hammer Beam roof, which you will find inside the Great Hall (another "H") of Hampton Court. Dennis. Dennis, you can add one more "H" to this entry -- history/historical. First shot -- great composition, with multiple leading lines (walking path, road, lawn) drawing our eyes to Hampton Court. Second shot -- I love how you captured the details of the Hammer Beam roof. Impressive! The choice of a portrait-orientation was perfect for this shot. Great thinking!
