I recently purchased PSE+ for PSE 2018. I've tried using luminosity masks with a curves adjustment layer. Because curves adjustment layers are "non-editable", the PSE+ user information says to use the "edit adjustment layer" command in the color and tone dialog. I've tried to do that, and can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

Hi tn, welcome to our forum. I can't help with your issue as I don't have PSE+. That being said, many of our members do and I'm sure someone will be able to answer your question.

Hi tn - I don't have an answer for you, but the author of Elements+ is a member here and stops by often. Hopefully he'll see your question and provide and answer. And welcome to our forms!

Hi tn, welcome to PSE&M! Glad to have you here. I also have Elements+ for PSE 2018. However, I am not sure I understand the problem you describe. Have you seen these tutorials? Curves in PSE 11+ (Elements+) Using Curves to Adjust ColorAs Craig mentioned, the creator of Elements+ is a member here -- Andrei Doubrovski . I'm sending a PM to him bringing this thread to his attention. In this way, you will get your answer straight from the source. Hang in there!

Hi tn,
Editing a Curves Adjustment Layer works fine in my PSE 14 with E+.
Make sure your Curves Adjustment Layer is active by clicking once on it. Then select Edit Adjustment Layer under Color and Tone in E+ and the Curves Adjustment Layer will then become editable - well it does in my PSE 14, so it should also in later versions.

Bailey - I've tried exactly what you suggest, which is what the PDF user information indicates. However, it has no effect. The curves adjustment layer remains uneditable. I suspect it is a problem with the 2018 version of E+. I'm hoping that the author of E+ will help (I've sent him a couple of emails). Until then, I'm very frustrated! I'm considering paying for the full version of photoshop, because I really want to use luminosity masks with the curves adjustment.

Hi tn, As Bailey said, you have to use E+ "Edit Adjustment Layer" command. Please, follow this video-tutorial thoroughly: youtu.be/D2lY2V22N7E?t=46
