Yes, agree...it is pretty cool whippet. Don't you love it when you fiddle with a photo and take it through several stages and finally arrive at something you like. And yet can't for sure describe what actually happened.  Clive |

Thank you for your kind comments. I had been expecting replies about what I had done wrong. I originally started by trying one of your tutorials, Lillias. (Layers masks). But, I think I got stuck at the same spot when I tried previously. And couldn't remember what you said. (I should have written it down). Try various blend modes.Can I as heck find how to do that. So, I just went on my merry way. The man had an interesting woolly hat on. But the mask I used didn't reach high enough for it to come through. You have all given me encouragement to keep trying. |

Sorry I didn't comment on this earlier, Margaret. I also love your results. The man seems to be bursting
through the background and the image you chose to work with is perfect. The starting image can make such a
difference....you chose a wonderful image to work with. Keep on playing!

The man had an interesting woolly hat on. But the mask I used didn't reach high enough for it to come through. You can alter a mask whippet simply by clicking on the thumbnail of the mask in your layers panel to make it active and then choose a brush and the colour black and on your page paint on the mask where you need to add to it. You can also resize the mask the same way you would resize an image on your page by using the transform handles. |

Try various blend modes.Can I as heck find how to do that. whippet, go to the Layers panel and choose an option from the Blending Mode menu.  |
